We First

A Global Bangladeshi Movement

We are dreamers, builders, and changemakers. But more than anything, we are a community.

Why We Exist

We exist because we are tired of the old story.

The story where Bangladeshis do not trust each other.

Where we compete instead of collaborate.

Where we hide from our own community at global events.

That story ends here. We are writing a new one.

Our Mission

Unite global Bangladeshis on one platform. Shift from competition to collaboration. Help each other shine.

Our Vision

  • Build an ecosystem where no Bangladeshi stands alone

  • Empower the next generation through mentorship and opportunities

  • Make collaboration the default, not competition

How This Started

The story behind We First

At hackathons, in classrooms, in boardrooms, at tech conferences — we kept noticing the same pattern everywhere we went.

Other communities showed up as teams. They hyped each other up, shared opportunities before they were even public, lifted each other without hesitation. Chinese students formed study groups. Indian professionals built investment networks. African entrepreneurs created incubators for their own.

Meanwhile, we showed up solo. Competing against each other for the same spot. Skeptical of each other's intentions. Keeping opportunities to ourselves. Sometimes even avoiding each other at events.

It did not make sense. We have world-class talent. Bangladeshis are building companies, leading teams at Fortune 500s, getting into top universities, winning global competitions. We have the drive. We have the skills. We have everything it takes to make a mark on the global stage.

What we did not have was each other.

That is when the idea hit: what if we changed the game? What if we stopped accepting this as "just how Bangladeshis are" and started building something different?

What if instead of competing with each other, we started collaborating? What if we built a real platform — not another Facebook group that dies in a week, but an actual ecosystem where Bangladeshis worldwide could connect, support, and grow together?

We First is not just a platform. It is a shift in mindset. From "me first" to "we first." From scattered individuals to a united force. From skepticism to trust. From competition to collaboration.

We are not naive. We know trust has to be earned. That is why we have one rule: respect each other. Break it, you are out. Simple.

We are not trying to save the world. We are trying to build a space where a student in Dhaka can find a mentor in Toronto. Where a professional in London can share a job opening with someone in Sydney. Where an entrepreneur in Dubai can find a collaborator in New York.

This is just the beginning. And we are building it together.

We are building something rare

A Bangladeshi space based on trust. Here is how we protect that.

🤝

Respect is non-negotiable

Disrespect someone? You are out. Want back in? Public apology and a promise to do better.

🛡️

We protect the culture

Zero tolerance for toxicity, gatekeeping, or tearing each other down. We are done with that.

🌱

We lift each other up

Share opportunities. Celebrate wins. Help each other grow. That is the standard here.
