How to request deletion of your personal data from We First

Account and Data Deletion

We respect your right to control your personal data. You can request deletion of your We First account and all associated personal data at any time.

How to Delete Your Data

Option 1: Self-Service Account Deletion (Recommended)

  1. Log in to your We First account at wefirstbd.com
  2. Go to your Account Settings
  3. Scroll to the Danger Zone section
  4. Click "Delete My Account"
  5. Confirm your decision

Your account and all personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

Option 2: Email Request

If you cannot access your account or prefer to email us, send a deletion request to:

Include in your email:

  • Subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
  • Your full name
  • The email address associated with your account
  • Your username (if you remember it)
  • Confirmation that you want to delete all your personal data

What Data Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, we permanently remove:

  • Your profile information (name, email, bio, location, etc.)
  • Your profile photo and uploaded images
  • Your authentication credentials (password, OAuth connections)
  • Your notification preferences
  • Your campaign and event participations
  • Your private messages and conversations
  • Your account settings and preferences

Note: Public posts and comments you made may remain visible but will be anonymized (shown as "Deleted User"). This is to preserve the integrity of community discussions.

Data Deletion Timeline

Immediate: Your account is deactivated and you can no longer log in

Within 7 days: Your personal data is removed from our active systems

Within 30 days: Your data is permanently deleted from all backups and cannot be recovered

Facebook Login Users

If you signed up or logged in to We First using your Facebook account, you can also manage your connection through Facebook:

  1. Go to Facebook SettingsApps and Websites
  2. Find We First in the list
  3. Click Remove to disconnect the app

Note: Removing the app connection on Facebook does not delete your We First account. You must still follow the deletion steps above to fully delete your data from We First.

Google Login Users

If you signed up or logged in using your Google account, you can also manage your connection through Google:

  1. Go to Google Account Permissions
  2. Find We First in the list of connected apps
  3. Click Remove Access

Note: Removing access on Google does not delete your We First account. You must still follow the deletion steps above to fully delete your data from We First.
